Terms of use

Celebrate generously. Share thoughtfully.

These terms set the ground rules for hosts and guests using VowCapture to collect and relive a private wedding story.

Effective August 28, 2026

Using VowCapture

Hosts must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate account information. Guests may use VowCapture only through an invitation they are authorized to receive. You are responsible for activity performed through your account, invitation, any optional event PIN, or guest session.

Your media remains yours

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, and other information you contribute. You grant VowCapture the limited permission needed to store, validate, transform, display, transmit, and delete that content according to the wedding’s settings and your requests. You confirm that you have the right to contribute the media.

Host responsibilities

Hosts decide who receives invitations, configure visibility and moderation, manage event members, respond to participant concerns, and determine when the event is deleted. Hosts must not describe VowCapture as a guaranteed archival backup and should export important originals.

Acceptable use

Do not upload unlawful, threatening, exploitative, non-consensual, deceptive, infringing, malicious, or privacy-invasive material. Do not probe private events, bypass limits, share access capabilities publicly, disrupt the service, scrape media, or use another person’s account. We may restrict or remove access needed to protect people, weddings, and the service.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. By using VowCapture, you acknowledge that wedding hosts control important visibility and retention choices. If you do not agree with those choices, do not contribute and ask the host to address any existing media involving you.

Availability and beta features

VowCapture may change as it develops. Mobile browsers, venue networks, device storage, and third-party services can interrupt capture or delivery. The local queue improves recovery but cannot guarantee delivery after site data is erased, a device is lost, storage is evicted, or an operating system terminates browser work. Video contribution is unavailable until privacy-safe server transcoding is ready.

Account and event termination

You may stop using the service at any time. Hosts can permanently delete events, and guests can request deletion of their contributions. We may suspend access for security, abuse, legal compliance, or material violations of these terms.

Disclaimers

VowCapture is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, implied warranties are disclaimed. VowCapture is not responsible for missed captures, device failure, connectivity loss, guest conduct, or media supplied without appropriate rights or consent.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, VowCapture is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost memories, revenue, data, or goodwill. Rights that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date. If a change materially affects an active host account, reasonable notice should be provided through the service or the account contact channel.
